Join the Maryland Food Access & Nutrition Network and School Districts for the Back-to-School Call
Join us for a “Back-to-School” call held by the Maryland Food Access and Nutrition Network (MFANN) on Thursday, August 20, at 10 a.m. Eastern to discuss the challenges that are being faced by all communities and districts across the state as schools return in virtual and hybrid settings this fall.
We will be joined by experts from across the education and school nutrition spectrum to discuss the unique set of challenges they are facing as well as how local schools and school systems are adapting to meet the needs of students and families in these unfamiliar circumstances.
Guest speakers will include:
- John Gaddis, superintendent of Schools, Somerset County;
- Shebra Evans, president, Montgomery County School Board;
- Cheryl Bost, president of the Maryland State Education Association;
- Brian Ralph, food and nutrition services director, Howard County Public Schools; and
- Leah Beachley, director of out-of-school time for Wolfe Street Academy in Baltimore City.
